I've loved comics since I was a kid. Hooked the first time. Who knew that reading X-Men and Batman would be a gateway drug into this? And who knew what was waiting for me on the other side of the gate...
His name was Latex Avenger. A colossal moron of might with zero class and even lower moral standards. He's got a sidekick. Spermicidal Foam Lad. They live with the sidekick's grandparents. Who are modeled on my grandparents. They have a cat that drags his ass to and fro around the apartment. Like my cat. This what was waiting for me.
And this is how it went from 2007 to 2010. I spent my time writing and drawing Latex Avenger and his band of merry knitwits doing very little good for the world. In 2011, I got the chance to meet Bonn Adame at 24 hour comic day and we hit it off from the start.
Bonn Adame took over the art chores (shredding guitar) of Latex Avenger on Wrath of Con, The Multi-Quickie and The Almost 24 Hour Excellent Adventure, with me providing the stories (lead vocals).
In 2013, Bonn and I joined up with Hound Comics to develop our first co-creation, Masters of the Obvious for the company's web comic line. Masters of the Obvious is a sci-fi space parody that follows Dr. Biclops, The Visible Woman and rest the crew of the Battle Toaster USS Screensaver, as they have pop culture adventures across the galaxy.
In 2014, Bonn and I got the chance to co-create Excelsi-ish! The Uphill Adventures of a Boy Named Stanley, a bi-weekly web project, on behalf of the Stan Lee Foundation, an organization dedicated to the fight against illiteracy through the arts and education. Excelsi-ish! follows Stanley, a small kid with big ideas, as he deals with real problems through his excited and over-active imagination.
